Selenicereus Validus

Selenicereus Validus is a native of Mexico and is a beautiful easy-care plant wIth cactus-like trailing leaves. It’s a very fast grower and will thrive in a small pot for years. We love this Selenicereus Validus for its easy care nature and unusual almost alien-like appearance providing interesting structure and shape. It works well as a potted plant or as a hanging plant. 

In the wild it’s native to Mexico, where it lives in tropical subtropical or tropical forests, hanging or hanging on branches or growing in the hollow of old trees. The main threat to the species is deforestation. 

Interestingly, these plants flower in the dark, producing beautiful large white flowers that open in complete darkness and then fade after one night at dawn. 

It will grow in indirect light conditions making it ideal as an indoor houseplant.

Water when the top two inches of soil are dry, make sure you don’t overwater this plant.
